The naive voice of the Peony
I remember being seventeen and looking forward to the freedom of college; I did have a good time. I probably should have been more studious, but I have the time now to make up for the lost studies of the past.
Peony: one of my favorite flowers. In my earlier years I pronounced it p-own-y. I actually drew landscape plans and explained how p-ownies would look so lovely in my client’s garden! I am sure they had great confidence in my knowledge~ especially when I wore my blue tube socks with a funky pair of sneakers. Like I said, I should have spent more time with my head in the books instead of the drink to my mouth.
Later, I truly became passionate about practicing landscape architecture and the beauty of a well placed peony (I now know it is pronounced: pe-un-knee). I even bought one for my mom. My mom (and Dad) love it. My sweet mom even puts a a few in a vase...
