What is compost?
It's organic plant fertilizer created by the decomposition of organic matter, such as: garden waste, kitchen scraps, leaves, etc.
Why create your own compost?
It becomes a wonderful mixture for your plants, increasing air circulation and distributing material and moisture evenly throughout your garden. Creating your own compost can also help to decrease the amount thrown in our landfills while saving you a little extra money on recycling bags, fertilizer and potting soil.
How easy is it to do?
The Compost Wizard from good ideas comes in two pieces. Simply set the drum on top of the base and you are good to go. Fill the composter with the right mixture of green and brown organic material with a single spin a week, your compost is ready for your garden. Pretty Simple!

Vermicompost Bin
The worm café vermicomposting bin enables you to reduce, reuse, and recycle by using worms to compost your every day kitchen scraps into fertile compost for use in your lawn or garden.
The way it works is simple. Just set up your worm farm somewhere outside (typically close to the kitchen so you don't have to worry about walking long distances to deposit your food scraps). Make sure it's not in an area that is subject to a lot of heat and direct sunlight constantly, as too much heat can kill your worms and stunt compost time. Place your worm bedding down in the trays (this is included with the worm bin), and start to add compost. After that, it's all up to the worms, which will progressively break down the organic waste until you are left with rich fertile worm castings and tea, which are considered by many master gardeners to be some of the best compost around.
